Hi Haters!-I'm Unbreakable

I heard something in church today I thought i should share. What you do with the message is really u to you. It was youth mass so the preacher today was 17. 17? What can he tell me right? I was surprised @ the stuff that came out of his mouth but I thought this was interesting.

Michael Jackson, he's been through it all. He was mocked for being dark, now he's mocked for being light. the rest of the allegations, I'd rather not go into, they're allegations. Hate him or love him was the best example he could have picked. Surely God gave him the best example. Anyway, his album "Invincible" released Oct 2001. The first song on it "Unbreakable". He wrote that song for all the haters. If you not doing anything, you cannot have haters. So yeah, back to the song, you should take the lyrics of the song and write "Dear Satan" in the beginning of the them. Mixing secular with the bible works to your advantage if you use it right because we all go through the same stuff in our walk with the Lord. So go and say to your haters, "Hi haters", lol and let's not forget "thank you for making me better". That's where "keep your friends close and your enemies closer applies. They build you up and they're good for you. And when doing things, don't worry about what people have to say, Jeremiah 1:8. Just do what you have to do and you'll be fine and happy. Don't do things to make others happy, it'll probably just make you sad and it's just wasted time pretending to be what you are not. Do you because TRUST the person/people you are trying to impress is/are doing them.

Ok in closing, I was watching Baldwin Hills a few weeks back and Kirk Franklin said if you don't have any haters, you not doing anything right. Those who didn't like this because of the Christian collabo, I can't say I'm sorry for putting this up. Just get what you get from this and I hope you got something from it.

Hey maybe im just "Bitter"? Like Nas... THIS IS WHY INFORMED PEOPLE "CAN" COMPLAIN!

I want to relieve some frustration and put up examples of many of the atrocities and psychological jabs that have been hurled this campaign year. The main reason I'm doing this is because too many people are uninformed and have no idea what they are talking about. This goes for all people, liberal and conservative, white and black, men and women... Now sadly enough things can go under the radar ever so easily, any statement or occurrence can be minimized and disappear due to over assumption and the most dangerous the false belief that you really know whats going on... So many people talk as if they have this election figured out, as if they know all the events and have every quote memorized, this my friend is totally foolish and at "best" extremely annoying. For example the recent controversy with rapper Nas protesting Fox News, Some people whole heartily believe he has no basis on being angry at a network that allows racism to slip on its screens a lil bit too much for my taste... Since most of you may have missed alot of these events here is a report on the very things Nas was protesting...

This kind of behavior is unacceptable but somehow everyday people are saying its not a big deal and "Black people need to stop complaining", Give me a break! Stop complaining!?? Do you have any idea what kind of ignorance were dealing with on a daily basis??? Aight aight maybe i didn't convince you enough... Lemme show you what kind of stupidity drives these complaining "Black" people crazy...

WTF is up with these people, are voters really that ignorant?

How about Jim Jones... Yet again Black people not seeing the big picture! Lets not talk about issues effecting us and our community, lets talk about getting money!? Damn this made me mad too, dumb ass...

Anyone else think Obama's ears and hairline look like curious George?

Here's what the KKK had to say...

Things like that are what enrage people like me... Sadly enough people still believe I and people like me have no right or reason to speak the truth... Saying something like "Nas is bitter" is foolish to me, because he documents his statements. Since when was telling the truth about a tough subject "bitter"? As for the campaign on Fox News my take is obviously not everyone working there is a bigot, DUH! But Bigotry is displayed on air and is tolerated... Its not ok to parade racist hate speech and call it news, not now, not ever! So I leave you with this and remind you that if you are going to debate reality with someone make sure you at least know the bare minimum... If you actually read this and watched those clips I commend you and promise you will be more informed. I leave you with this last clip hope you like it...

Randy Pausch's Life's lesson lecture before his death today.

Randy Pausch was a professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University and was 47 years old.  He was informed in September of 08 that he was infected yet again with pancreatic cancer " one of the most fast acting cancers known to man". The doctors gave him 3-6 months to live. With bravery this man accepted his fate and instead of dedicating months to a hedonistic nature he wrote a book and gave his last lecture as a guidebook on how to live life to fullest and how to accept life's curve balls.  He talked about his life's achievements including him designing some of Disney's most wild of rides, experiencing zero gravity, etc. The most important part of the lecture/book to me was outlook on failures and dreams lost due to outward variables then of ones own perseverance. Being a realist as I am it is surprisingly refreshing to me to read about a person telling people THAT all dreams do not come true, THAT not only do all dreams come true but THAT not all dreams are capable of even coming into effect. THAT if you work hard at something and never give up you are not guaranteed to reach that goal you've been earnestly working towards. THAT you do not deserve praise even though you may dedicate your life to something. After achieving his Ph.D his mother would refer to him as a Doctor, but not one that helped people.  SO he dedicated his last few months to telling people how it really is to live as a mortal and live as human who is prone to disappoint other and themselves until they die. The moral of the story of this man's dedication is to motivate others to reach for their goals but accept when they fail as reality. No one is owed anything in this life for our life isn't ours. How will you live in your last moments? How will you impact the generations that form after your long gone? Will you leave anything behind that is proof that you once lived? Every day's a choice.....How will you use yours?

Trilla indeed! Rick Ross exposed...

This has been sprayed all over the net, ya boy Rick Ross "the Boss" aparently forgot to mention he was a CO for 18 months... Heres the doc:

Ross (real name: William Leonard Roberts) was appointed a prison guard in December 1995 at a salary of $22,913.54, according to the below personnel record, which was provided to TSG by Jo Ellyn Rackleff, a DoC spokesperson. The rapper’s social security number is identical to that of the jail guard. According to the official document, Ross was earning $25,794.34 when he left the department in June 1997. After graduating from the DoC training academy, Ross was assigned to the South Florida Reception Center in Dade County (the lockup is one of three statewide that serves as an intake facility for new prisoners).

My take on all this is simple... Why Lie? Nobody would've gave a F&%# if he was a CO, and lets say he was some big kingpin after he left the force... Be real about it! Tripple C took a big L on this one. Dang one by one these cats keep gettin exposed!

Oh yea heres a lil bit more lying on his part (quick disclaimer I F&%# wit Ross but even I cant co-sign this)...

"One World, One Dream" MY A&%!!!

It has come to my knowledge that during the Summer 2008 Olympic Games all surrounding bars and clubs will not be serving or allowing "social undesirables." AKA Blacks and Mongolians!
If this doesn't raise any eyebrows let me break it down. "Bar owners near the Workers' Stadium in central Beijing say they have been forced by Public Security Bureau officials to sign pledges agreeing not to let black people enter their premises." I dont really understand China's beef with black people and some people online have been basically pointing the finger at African Americans for reinforcing stereotypes therefore warranting this type of legislation. Personally to me there is never an excuse for Racism and yet again China is making me sick with their stupid rules and superiority complex... heres the whole article http://olympics.scmp.com/Article.aspx?id=1300

Since when was the term "black hole" Racist??!!

This whole situation is sooo ridiculous to me! Lets be fair and realize we cant expect much progress in our race relations if things like this get brought up... I wanna know how such sensitive people got into positions of power without losing their minds because your bound to hear worse than that!

Lets be real here... Did this guy do or say anything wrong? Gimmie a break!

No love for Method Man

Watch the crowd part like the Red Sea! Stage dive gone terribly wrong...

Immigration Work

Growing up I've always heard people talk down on immagrants for coming into the United States and "stealing" work from Americans... I've been in the work force since I was 14 and have worked so many places that there is little I don't know how to do... I want to say stop talking down about immagrants... The work that they take, are neccessary work, that americans feel they are to high up to do... I realized this when I worked for the Crown Royal Hotel... I saw the movie MAID IN MANHATTAN and thought shit if J. LO could do it so can I... That was a movie though... I am not ashamed to say that I worked as a housekeeper there and was one of the few that spoke english... People the shit they do and put up with is HARD... I quite working there after only 3 days... Saying as I walked out the door "I am a US citizen, I don't need to do this shit!!!!"So please unless you have worked in one of these "stolen" positions shut the fuck up... Americans are too spoiled and are not built for the type of labor they do... So I say BIG UPS to the immagrants that keep the hotels clean, and dishes washed at restraunts, and lawns mowed... Cause if they didn't do it TRUST ME it wouldn't get done...

Weekly Wake Up!

Its finally here! The "Untitled" Nas LP is here and is all we expected and more! A must buy for any Hip Hop Head, and for you the more recluse listener a true lesson in what Hip Hop is really about! Speaking to the people, self expression, not giving a F*@%, and most of all putting it together in a truly lyrical way! This album does all that an more, the man even made a song wit Busta talking bout "Fried Chicken" (or is he) and made it hot! Aight thats enough boostin from my end hopefully the product will speak for itself... Here a few tracks on this weeks wake up!

Do We Have A New R&B Classic Group?

Photobucket

Diddy may have done it again. Making The Band 4's group Day 26's self titled album is absolutely phenomenal. Topping the Billboard charts at number 1 and selling nearly 500,000 albums worldwide the first week, Day 26 may have established themselves as a forced to be reckoned with. Comparisons have been brought up of classic groups like Jodeci and 112! Let's not jump to conclusions here, but feel good jams like "Got Me Going" and soulful album ballads like "Are We In This Together" and "What It Feels Like" make you believe Day 26 can possibly continue to release fantastic music like their R&B icons. Group members (from the left) Robert, Que, Willie, Brain, and Mike prove track after track they they can truly sing, which is extremely rare for a group of five, or R&B artists for that matter. "We are singing our hearts out" Willie of Chicago said. If you don't have the Cd you are truly missing out. Here are some of their raw vocals during a practice with Puff. Diddy may have hit the jackpot...

Kanye Absolut commercial

Here's the latest Kanye commercial I ran across for his "Absolut" Vodka campaign...

Satire or Slander!!!

This has been all over the news the past two days and I just want to know how you feel about it... The editor for the "New Yorker" stated that it was a satirical work that depicted the gross exaggerations of the allegations facing the Obama camp. I think its pretty distasteful because you shouldn't have to explain good satire! That being said, the way I see it is the closer he gets to the White house the more crude and disgusting his criticism will get... This country needs prayer y'all!

Step Up 1, 2, and Save the Last Dance

It has come to my attention that two many white people are watching these movies thinking that they can dance... Now don't get me wrong SOME white people CAN dance but in reality most can't... Last night I went to Saratoga for a change in my outings routine... This is what I have found and just had to record it... People both white and black please note that this is not dancing... lol... I include black people cause there are a few of you that can't dance... It's rare but true... enjoy the video

Lyrical Larceny vol.3 *R&B Edition*

This week the tracks I chose are all classic R&B hits that would be nothing without their Hip Hop features! Have you ever heard a song or remix that just wouldn't be the same if there wasn't a hot verse in it... Take Chris Brown's first album, both "Run it" and "Poppin" don't even sound close to their remixes. We can even go back farther to Joe with "Stutter" or "Don't Wanna Be a Playa" all of those tracks gained tons of flavor by adding rappers to the mix... At least in my opinion. So this week its the Singers against the Rappers... Its up to yall to decide who owns the track! Jury its time to deliberate!

112 Vs. Lil Zane
Anywhere - 112

Brandy Vs. Kanye
Talk About Our Love (Featuring Kanye West) - Brandy

Mya Vs. Jay-Z
Best Of Me (Remix) - Mya

Aight listen up and let me know who takes over the track for real... Be honest too, if the singers really run it and the rhymes were weak say it, an if you can imagine the whole track being a rap song say that too. Have fun wit it yall... Peace!

Just A Reminder: KOBE Still Has No New Jewelry

kobe

Its almost been a month since the Boston Celtics annihilated the Lakers in 6 games. However, to all the still mourning Laker fans, I do not send my condolences. The insane Jordan comparisons need to be shattered with every Laker fan's dream of winning another title. What Laker fans need to realize is there is no "team" in "Kobe" to the All-Star. Many Kobe "coat-tail riders" will say, "Kobe has three rings"(one that is debatable due to allegations of fixed games). Let me be the one to inform you that Shaq won those three rings. To open Laker fans' blinded and biased eyes even more, a little over three years ago when Kobe demanded to get rid of the then most dominant player in the NBA(Shaquille O'Neal), or he leave, Boston Celtics' Ray Allen called Bryant's demands "selfish" and "pathetic." The next year O'Neal returned to the finals with Miami to win again, and this year Ray Allen added new jewelry to his shooting hand. Since then, Kobe has no rings. However, he did score 81 points in one game. Surprising? No way. He almost took 50 shots that game. Bryant added a measly 2 assists. Here is a little something I found to be very entertaining on Youtube. This will write in fine print in everbody's mind why Kobe Bryant will never be a champion again..........

From G's to Gents

Im not big on reality shows... But I think Jaime Foxx and Mr. Bentley are gonna have a hit! Not gonna front this show actually looks like its gonna be entertaining, all stereotypes aside if they can honestly accomplish what they are trying to do with this show, imma be truly shocked! Here are the clips I happen to run across so far.

Air Jordan Force 20 (XX) Fusion- First Look

This is a quick look at the Fusion of the Air Jordan 20 and Air Force One thats hitting stores in December! They feature a black / stealth / varsity red color scheme, and draw inspiration from the Air Jordan 20 (XX) Original (OG) - Stealth. Most of the shoe is patent leather too so your sure to catch somebody's attention! Lemme know what you think about this work of art... Oh an make sure u take a run and look at even more at http://www.kicksonfire.com/.

Esco responds in a video blog to "Messy Jesse"

Ironically this event happened right after he released the "Sly Fox" video... Further justifying his cause. Whether you agree 100% that fox is messed up or not, the man has a point... An a good one at that.

THE AQUA 8 BLUES...

sometimes i wonder: do people even realize the messages they send out by what theyre wearing? beyond the obvious; clothing, footwear is utalized as an outlet for expression. now a days everybody and their mom tryna be a sneaker head. people who dont even like sneakers are talking about being "sneaker freaker"s . how aggrevated does it make you to see someone wearing aqua 8s with navy basketball shorts and a yellow sleeveless tshirt, to play basketball, yet thinking their "fit" is "ON POINT". message: "hey, i think im cool by wearing my aquas but i dont really see the point in matching." these people make people who really do appreciate sneakers, in a way, regret owning that pair of jordans. this message although probably not intentionally may truly offend those of us that take the "sneaker game" seriously. (if you dont match cuz u cant afford it, you probably shouldnt have spent the money you had on a pair of aqua 8s, YA Dig!) to avoid the ever so awkward, "what the F**k are you wearing?" and the sooo sassy "YO! SON! YOUR JORDANS ARE FAKE!!!!!!!!!", dont wear sneakers that dont match your clothing... and if you do please be like the finest person on this earth. hahaha =)

NO, NO, NO

If you ask any of my friends I am a big fan of gladiator like movies. I own Troy, Gladiator, and 300 ( and would own more if I hadn't moved so often). The most recent is 300. I mean who could forget those lines " THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!" before kicking his enemy into the dark deep pit that led to who knows where. And the queens outfits were absolutely spectacular, and downright sexy. Defenitely gave me ideas for holloween... But this is down right wrong... Women I emplore you do not go this route... Lets leave the gladiator shoes in the movies... Cause I promise that if any of my friends or I see you wearing this in a club we WILL laugh at you... To your face...

Too Much Information!

I ran across an article on the web that took me back! It was about a town called Provincetown in Mass. I want people to read the article for themselves so i wont give it all away, but to put it plainly they seem to have a pretty big problem on their beaches... Living majority of my life in South Florida I have never heard of or seen any of the things this article is talking about (except maybe online lol) but honestly all im gonna say is "Man! What is the world coming too!?" Lemme know what you think... Oh an try not to get grossed out picturing it! (Yuck)

http://www.bostonherald.com/news/regional/general/view.bg?articleid=1105329&srvc=rss

Another thing that really caught my eye was an article about a musician from Russia that posted something on a blog about the Russian Police being scum. He said a few mean things like they should clean up the force by burning two officers a day (all in satire I might add) and other "distasteful comments". But heres the worst part because of his post he is now serving a one-year suspended term in a Russian prison! Damn!!! Was it that serious!? Well if that caught your interest as much as it caught mine heres the link

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080707/od_uk_nm/oukoe_uk_russia_blogger

I wont front, I feel like lockin somebody up for a blog post is crazy as hell... An the truth is if that was going on round here in the US madd people would be duckin the cops... So yea lemme hear ur take on these articles or if you heard anything crazy ya self. Speak on it if u feel it in ya chest! peace...

Weekly Wake Up

This weeks weekly wake up goes to Lupe Fiasco's LP "The Cool" for the simple fact that its truly a breath of fresh air. I doubt Lupe is being slept on anymore being constantly mentioned by the best in the biz as the "Future of Hip Hop" an this album really shows that. He really went to the next level in terms of lyrical content and brought much more of a eclectic feel to his music. He hits every part of the US and even travels the world in one track this kat is someone to keep your eye on! Here are a few videos from his album... Enjoy!

Hip Hop Saved My Life

Paris, Tokyo

Dumb It Down

What happened to music videos?

Growing up my generation was always called the Mtv generation. But now I am sad to even be considered that. What has happened to our music videos? Our beloved music video channels have been bombarded by crap!!!!! Someone needs to make a public announcement as to why these channels no longer broadcast videos. It used to be that you could turn on your television and tune to any of the 3 channels, Mtv, BET, VH1 and a video would be playing. But now these channels only show My Super Sweet 16 ( spoiled ass rich kids), The Hill ( spoiled ass rich white young adults), The Baldwins ( spoiled ass rich black young adults), or Hell Date (dumb ass wanna be next)... Bottom line who gives a damn. The purpose of these channels is to show music videos thats why they were created. That would be like turning to the History channel to watch the 2008 presidential elections. Or turning to Animal planet to watch a documentary about Lincoln... Case in point it makes NO SENSE... If you are the lucky few who have caught a video you were only able to watch 1.5 minutes of it followed by the cackling of the obnoxiously loud show hosts (106 & Park). Is it too much to ask for a simple video DAMN!!!!!!

Whoopi on Being Black in America

Check out what Whoopi feels about Being Black in America...

Joe Budden Who? (part 1)

Basically Joey is airing out his feeling on the state of Hip Hop... This is what I call "Realness" He says everything that record labels cant, wont, and are afraid to say in a few minutes! Its also real concise an well worded, Joey stays under-rated... Aight well play the track an feel free to comment... Remember the question is WHO?

K West infomercial...

Its safe to say this nigga done lost his mind! LOL! "BE Kanye"

G.O.O.D. Music

Its time to highlight some G.O.O.D. Music, I ran across this when I was on Kanye's Blog, This is incredibly deep and like Ye said it might be the coldest rhyme of the year! Let me know your thoughts...

Malik Yusef - "What You Made Me"

I jus spent ten mins lookin for the independent file but couldn't find it so here is a link to Kanye's personal Blog where I heard it myself... http://www.kanyeuniversecity.com/blog/?em3106=198056_-1__0_~0_-1_7_2008_0_0&em3161=&em3281= Peace.

Should Brett Favre come back? ESPN sure thinks so...

After four months of retirement the undoubtably Hall of Fame quarterback for the Green Bay Packers has let it be known that he's just not done yet. This doesn't really come as a surprise to most (unless your name is Aaron Rodgers) since there has been so much suspicious activity in and aroound the league surrounding Brett. For instance #4 gracing the coveted and also cursed "Madden Cover" despite formally retiring from the sport, something that has never been done in Madden history! In terms of reality though the man was constantly barraged by reporters asking "after such a great seaon, arguably one of your best yet, why would you retire now?" I figured the guy would break... The question is, is it in the best interest of the Packers that they pick up the gunslinger for another year at the helm.

Heres an article arguing about how teams that lose Hall of Fame quarterbacks always go down the drain. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=seifert_kevin&id=3472447

Nas- Hero

This is the first official single off Nas's untitled LP Due July 15th... Im posting this along with its lyrics because at first I slept on the track until I read what he actually said an not what I thought he was saying... The boy Nas has always been sick but after listenin to this track and readin the lyrics at the same time, you'll realize he's a problem!

Lyrics:
Chain gleaming
Switching lanes
Two-seating
Hate him or love him
For the same reason
Can't leave it
The games needs him
Plus the people need someone to believe in
So in God's Son we trust
'Cause they know I'm gonna give 'em what they want
They looking for . . . a hero
I guess that makes me . . . a hero

Another chapter of the cleanest rapper
Distinguished gentlemen
Crooks and castle on his back
Maybach-er, exotic lady eye-catcher
Holla at'cha, call me the chiropractor
Working like Muay Thai class
Get perspire out ya
And of course I've been the boss since back when
Rocking D Boy, Fila, velour in 190 black Benz
Now they shut down the stores when I'm shopping
Used to be train robbing, face covered in stocking
I'm him

Rubber-grip-holder, reloader
Come at me I'ma rip your soliders in half
Silverback ape, nickle-plated mag
Young, rich, and flashy
Young, b!tch, I'm nasty
All black clothes til ice lay on me so classy
And every time I close my lids
I can still see the borough, I can still see the Bridge
I can still see the dreams that my niqqas ain't never lived to see
Tell them angels open the door for me
From nine berettas and moving raw
To chilling in wine cellars
Sticks and humidors
That's what I call mature
That's what I call a g
That's what I call a pimp
That's what I call a gangsta
To the fullest, sh!t
I try to make more cream
By every September 14th, that's my dream
So I can be more clean, as I grow yearly
I can see things more clearly
That's why they fear me

This universal apartheid
I'm hog-tied, the corporate side
Blocking y'all from going to stores and buying it
First L.A. and Doug Morris was riding wit it
But Newsweek article startled big wigs
They said, Nas, why is he trying it?
My lawyers only see the Billboard charts as winning
Forgetting - Nas the only true rebel since the beginning
Still in musical prison, in jail for the flow
Try telling Bob Dylan, Bruce, or Billy Joel
They can't sing what's in their soul
So untitled it is
I never change nothin'
But people remember this
If Nas can't say it, think about these talented kids
With new ideas being told what they can and can't spit
I can't sit and watch it
So, sh!t, I'ma drop it
Like it or not
You ain't gotta cop it
I'm a hustler in the studio
Cups of Don Julio
No matter what the CD called
I'm unbeatable, y'all

Shout out to Polow Da Don... The Beat sick!

Are They Really That Nice?

This is the first ever edition of 'Are They Really That Nice?' The first person that we are going to dissect is Kanye West. Is he really that nice? Well, we gotta decide whether or not we are talking rapper or producer. Why not both?!

As a producer we will hear the same arguments over his knack and habit for sampling other peoples' music. Okay Mr. West. Enough is enough. I was about to stumble across listing of tracks called the Late Samples. It was an 'album' composed of songs that Kanye sampled for the Late Registration alone. This 'album' was 21 tracks long. I believe that that was the same amount of tracks on the album. Hmm..? His samples range from songs that most people of his genre will know as well as artists from other genres such at techno, rock, heavy metal and jazz. When I listen to a beat that Kanye has made (or put together), I find fun in trying to identify the song he sampled. Is it better to sample songs that people know or don't know?

Now as a rapper.. A very important and vital part of rapping is rhyming. There are plenty of words in the English language that you should not have to make up your own word or intentionally mispronounce it to make it rhyme. Unfortunately, but acceptable, people like Jeezy and T.I. can get away with this because of their southern accents. Kanye, I am sorry you are not gonna get away with saying things like 'apart-a-ment'. Lines such as 'Good morn-ian/ Look at the valedictorian/', and 'Don't ever fix your lips like collagen/ Before you say something you gon' end up apologin/. Sorry Mr. West, these type of things don't fly. This is something that Ice T should be making fun of. Not to mention the fact that he won the grammy for Jesus Walks after he cried about it at a previous award show. Only for us to find out that it was in fact his friend Rhymefest who actually wrote the song. He took the theme, beat and concept of Diamonds are Forever from Lupe Fiasco. And how many times have we heard Lupe d a freestyle and just mainly reword someone else's verse.
You let me know, is he Over-Rated and need to be Rated-Over?

Here are some tracks to listen to.. Tell me if they sound familiar.

Conflict Diamonds - Lupe Fiasco

Ill erase the pain - Whatnauts

Wildflower (Kanye West - Drive Slow) - Hank Crawford

Today Wont Come Again (Sampled For Hey Mama) - Donal Leace
